The goal of the Manitoba Lotteries’ Responsible Gaming policy is to further our commitment to our customers, employees, stakeholders and suppliers; to advocate the responsible use of its gaming products; to reduce the potential for harm from gaming involvement, and to promote the necessary services available to Manitobans with gambling problems. In order to implement this goal, Manitoba Lotteries will:

• Create an overall quality entertainment experience for our customers in a socially responsible manner.
• Support the provision of gambling treatment programs and research on problem gambling through financial commitments and corporate initiatives.
• Take steps to alert Manitoba Lotteries customers, employees and stakeholders to the gambling assistance programs offered, and where they may obtain assistance.
• Conduct training programs for employees to be responsive to the issue of problem gambling.
• Incorporate into the Corporation’s products and promotional materials, where reasonable and appropriate, statements providing Responsible Gaming messages.
• Utilize the Manitoba Lotteries Casino Advertising Rules of Conduct, which includes not promoting lifestyle changes and not promoting gaming to children and youth, in Manitoba Lotteries Product or Corporate advertising.
• Promote awareness with gaming product suppliers of the Corporation’s responsibility with respect to Responsible Gaming and inform electronic gaming suppliers of the importance of incorporating Responsible Gaming software into their products.
• Deliver the Corporation’s Responsible Gaming initiatives in a sensitive manner to the needs of all our customers, while recognizing cultural diversity.
• Continue to be progressive by researching initiatives that demonstrate the Corporation’s commitment that gaming products are introduced and delivered in a socially responsible manner.
• Introduce corporate procedures to execute the guidelines of this Policy so that the procedures are accurately defined and implemented.
