Craps

Video Transcript - How to Play Craps

There are a wide variety of bets that can be made on each roll of the dice. Depending on how you wish to play craps can be very simple or rather intricate.

Game Overview

  1. The Pass Line and Don’t Pass Line are the most popular bets. On the Pass Line you win, if on the first roll a 7 or 11 is rolled. If 2, 3, or 12 is rolled you lose. Any other number becomes the point. The game continues until the point is rolled again (you win) or until a 7 is rolled (you lose).
  2. A bet on the Don’t Pass Line is the opposite of a bet on the Pass Line. You win if a 2 or 3 is rolled, if a 12 is rolled it’s a “stand-off” and nobody wins. If a 7 or 11 is rolled, you lose. Any other number becomes the point and if a 7 is rolled before that number you win.
  3. Come bets or Don’t Come bets may be placed any time after the first roll and are the same as bets on the Pass Line or Don’t Pass line except the action begins with the next roll of the dice.
  4. Once the dice have been thrown establishing a “point”, “odds bets” may be added to your bets on the Pass Line, Don’t Pass Line, Come Line and Don’t Come Line. The odds vary on these wagers.

Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em

Ultimate Texas Hold’em® features heads-up play against the dealer and the optional Trips side bet.

This game gives you several advantages:

  • The earlier you bet, the more you can bet.
  • You don’t have to fold until you see all the community cards.
  • The Trips bonus pays odds if your final five-card hand is a three-of-a-kind or better.

See layout for odds.

GETTING STARTED

Make equal bets in the ante and blind circles. You may also make the Trips bonus bets. You will then receive two cards. BET BIG... OR SMALL... OR NOT AT ALL When you get your two hole cards, you can either check or bet 3x-4x your ante. The dealer then reveals the three-card flop. If you haven’t already made a play bet, you have a choice: check or bet 2x your ante. The dealer then reveals the final two community cards. If you haven’t already made a play bet, you have a choice: fold or bet 1x your ante.

WINNING & LOSING

The dealer then reveals their two hole cards and announces the hand. If your hand beats the dealer’s your play and ante bets win even money. If the dealer’s hand beats yours, your play, ante and blind wagers lose. If you tie, those bets push. The blind pays if your winning hand is at least a straight (see layout for odds). If you beat the dealer with less than a straight, it pushes.

DEALER QUALIFYING

The dealer needs a pair to qualify. When the dealer doesn’t qualify, your ante will push and be returned.” “All other bets placed will receive action.

Face Up Pai Gow Poker

The object of the game is to create two poker hands that rank higher than the Dealer’s.

Face Up Pai Gow Poker™ features head-to-head play against the dealer and offers the optional Fortune Bonus and Ace-High wagers. As in standard Pai Gow, each player and dealer receive seven-cards, but in Face Up Pai Gow Poker the dealer’s cards are exposed. Face Up Pai Gow Poker is a commission-free game.

You do not pay a 5% commission when you beat the dealer; however, when the dealer plays Ace-High, you automatically push.

GETTING STARTED

To begin each round, make a standard Pai Gow wager. You may also make the Fortune Bonus and Ace-High wagers.

FORTUNE BONUS

The Fortune Bonus bet wins if your best possible seven-card hand matches one of the payouts from the offered paytable. If you wager at least $5 on the Fortune Bonus, the dealer will place an “envy” button next to your bet. This qualifies you for an envy bonus payout.

ENVY BONUS

The dealer pays any envy bonuses at the end of the round. If at least one player receives a hand that qualifies for Envy Bonus payouts, all players with envy buttons win. You can win multiple Envy Bonuses in a round, but you CANNOT win an Envy Bonus for your own hand or the dealer’s hand.

ACE HIGH

This bet wins if the dealer is forced to play an Ace-High Pai Gow.

Game Overview

  1. A maximum of six players may participate.
  2. Face Up Pai Gow is played with one deck of standard playing cards (52 cards), plus one Joker. The cards are either manually shuffled or by using an automatic shuffler. The Joker can be used as an Ace or to complete a straight, flush or straight flush.
  3. Hands are played and ranked as traditional poker hands, except that A-2-3-4-5 (Bike) is the second highest straight, beaten only by an A-K-Q-J-10 Straight, and the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand.
  4. A Face Up Pai Gow hand consists of two separate hands; a five card hand (high hand) and a two card hand (low hand).
  5. All bets must be placed prior to the Dealer announcing “no more bets”. No additional bets will be accepted, and Players are not permitted to alter or touch any bet wagered once the dealer has announced “no more bets”.
  6. Players cannot look at their cards until the Dealer has verified that all cards are accounted for and ensured that the correct number of cards are in play.
  7. Each Player is required to keep their cards over the table and in full view of the Dealer at all times.
  8. Once each Player has set their hands and placed them on the appropriate spots, Players may not touch their cards again.
